First-aid measures
Special instructions
Get medical advice/attention. Helpers should ensure their own protection.
Inhalation
IF INHALED: Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. If appropriate, give artificial respiration. Get medical advice/attention.
Skin contact
Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. IF ON SKIN: Gently wash with soap and water. Rinse continuously with water for several minutes. Get medical advice/attention.
Eye contact
IF IN EYES: Rinse continuously with water for several minutes. Get medical advice/attention.
Ingestion
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious) Get medical advice/attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media
Water spray, Alcohol resistant foam, Foam, Carbon dioxide.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
May emit toxic fumes of oxides of carbon and nitrogen during heating or fire.
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters
Isolating breathing apparatus eg. compressed breathing apparatus and protective clothing.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Use personal protective equipment as required. Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray. Provide sufficient ventilation. Isolate hazard area. Access of extra people to the spill area must be prevented.
Environmental precautions
Do not put into water system, drain or soil. Stop leak if there is no danger.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Soak up with inert absorbent material (eg. vermiculite, sand) and dispose of as hazardous waste. Collect up into tightly sealable containers for disposal.
Handling and storage
This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 18(4) for transported isolated intermediates. Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at the manufacturing site.
If exposure is possible:
Precautions for safe handling
Handle in well-ventilated space. Handle under inert gas. Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Store in a dry place. Store in a closed container. Store in a well ventilated place. Keep cool. Store at up-right position. Store at +2 - 8 °C. Store under inert gas.
Incompatible materials: Strong oxidants, Strong bases, Alcohols, Metal salts.

Hand protection
Use protective gloves (e.g. nitrile or neopren gloves).
Eye protection
Use protective goggles.
Skin protection
Wear protective clothing.
Stability and reactivity
Reactivity
Not reactive under normal use and storage conditions.
Chemical stability
Stable under normal conditions.
Possibility of hazardous reactions
No dangerous reactions under normal use and storage conditions.
Conditions to avoid
Decomposes violently at or above 100 °C.
Incompatible materials
Strong oxidants, Strong bases, Alcohols, Metal salts.
Hazardous decomposition products
May emit toxic fumes of oxides of carbon and nitrogen during heating or fire.
Disposal considerations
Chemical incinerator equipped with an afterburner and scrubber is the recommended method of disposal for this material. Observe all local and national regulations when disposing of this material.
