Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Three bibliographic values are available:
- 800-850 mg/L at 25°C from a publication (Vadrot et al., 1990)
- 1g/L at 30°C extracted from a review article or an handbook (1992)
- 2 g/L at 20°C from a review article or an handbook (1957)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
800 mg/L
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

The publication of Vadrot et al. (1990) is considered as key study because it is well documented and the method used (i.e. acid-base titration) is generally accepted. However, as no guideline was followed, this study is considered as reliable with restrictions (i.e. 2e “study well documented, meets generally accepted scientific principles, acceptable for assessment”).

The value of 1g/L at 30°C is considered as reliable with restrictions (i.e. 2g "data from collection of data") as it comes from a wide database and no information is given on test method. Nevertheless, it is considered as supporting study as it is consistent with the value of the key study.

The validity of the value of 2 g/L at 20°C is considered as not reliable (i.e. 4“not reliable, documentation insufficient for assessment") because no information is given on test method.

Considering all these data, 11 -aminoundecanoic acid is considered as moderately soluble in water.
