Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
read-across from supporting substance (structural analogue or surrogate)
Remarks:
FB002 is one component of the read-across substance
Adequacy of study:
supporting study
Study period:
May from 2 to 21, 2019
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study with acceptable restrictions
Justification for type of information:
Details on the read-across are available in section 13.
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Version / remarks:
1995
Deviations:
yes
Remarks:
water flow continued until equilibrium was reached, as measured concentrations do not show a tendency of increasing values. However, concentrations of successive samples differ by more than ± 30% randomly, as measured values were around LOQ (0.2 ng/ml).
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.6 (Water Solubility)
Version / remarks:
2014
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EPA OPPTS 830.7840 (Water Solubility)
Version / remarks:
1998
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
column elution method
Water solubility:
0.226 µg/L
Conc. based on:
other: peak 1
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
7.3 - 7.7
Water solubility:
0.218 µg/L
Conc. based on:
other: peak 2
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
7.3 - 7.7
Water solubility:
0.183 µg/L
Conc. based on:
other: peak 3
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
7.3 - 7.7
Details on results:
The measured concentration values varied around the limit of quantification (LOQ) of the analytical method. In the cases when concentrations were below LOQ, the concentration of LOQ derived from the calibration curve was used for calculations. The measured pH values were between 7.3 and 7.7. Flow rates of 25 and 12.5 ml/h were used.

based on peak 3 0.19 µg/l 0.18 µg/l 0.183 ± 0.0119 µg/l
Conclusions:
Poorly soluble in water, ca. 0.2 µg/l at 20 ± 0.5 °C and pH 7.3-7.7.
Executive summary:

OECD guideline 105. Based on results of a preliminary test, the column elution method was used. 3 peaks, corresponding to the 3 main constituents were identified.

Test substance resulted as very poorly soluble, i.e. ca. 0.2 µg/l at 20 ± 0.5 °C and pH 7.3-7.7. Analytical method LOQ is 0.2 µg/l.
