Description of key information
Read across from Iron(III)Oxide and IronOxide as justified in the justification paper attached in Section 4 Summary.
a) In accordance with column 1 of REACH Annex IX, information is not required, as the stability of the substance is considered to be not critical and there is evidence from handling of the sustance that it is not flammable.
b) The study on pyrophoric properties does not need to be conducted due to experience in production and handling, the substance is known to be stable at room temperature .
c) Stability of the substance is considered to be not critical. Iron oxides are inert oxides with an extremely low water solubilty, and a release of metal ions into water is not expected.
