Only in presence of the ignition flame (gas burner) a glowing was observed but not a propagation of burning. Therefore, the test was stopped after the pre-test and FeS is considered to be not highly flammable.

In the Klimisch 1 key study from Paß (2011) the flammability of FeS was determined according to UN test N.1 which is similar to EC A.10 “Determination of the Flammability (Solids)". The sample could not be ignited. Only in presence of the ignition flame (gas burner) a glowing was observed but not a propagation of burning. Therefore, the test was stopped after the pre-test and FeS is considered to be not highly flammable.
