Data for the physico-chemical properties of divanadium pentaoxide were provided based on studies for the following endpoints:
(i) laser diffraction and dustiness testing
(ii) water solubility testing according to OECD 105 and
(iii) flammability (screening test initiated with a representative FeV80 powder)
(iv) density
The other endpoints are based on handbook data and/or long time experiences in handling.
It is noted here that handbook data for physico-chemical properties are considered to be from a trusted source acc. to "ECHA, Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment – Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance" and therefore, these data were considered reliable.
The results of the studies are reported in the endpoint summary as well as in the accompanying IUCLID database. Data for several endpoints were waived due to intrinsic properties of divanadium pentaoxide or based on the criteria as laid down in regulation (EC) 1907/2008 as described above.
Based on handbook and new physico-chemical data that are included into this technical dossier, the divanadium pentaoxide does not need to be classified according to Regulation (EC) No.: 1272/2008.
