Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In accordance with section 2 of REACH Annex XI, the simulation testing on ultimate biotic degradation in surface water (required in section 9.2.1.2) and sediment simulation testing (required in section 9.2.1.4), is not required as the substance is inorganic and hence biotic degradation cannot occur.

Thus measurement of these endpoints is not technically feasible. Moreover, the identification of degradation products (required under section 9.2.3) does not need to be conducted as the substance is inorganic and hence neither biotic nor abiotic degradation will occur. There will therefore be no degradation products.
