The appraisal of the molecular structure indicates no risk of rapid decomposition. The test material does not contain any chemical groups associated with explosive properties as described in the UN Recommendations and in the literature.

In a DSC scan two small exothermic peaks with a total decomposition energy of about 77 J/g were found (UN limit: 500 J/g).

The test material does not contain chemical groups associated with explosive properties and the exothermic decomposition energy is below the UN limit of 500 J/g. The test material has not to be classified as an explosive substance. It is unlikely to undergo rapid decomposition with evolution of gases or release of heat (i.e. the material does not present a risk of explosion).
