Description of key information
1,1,1,2 -tetrafluoroethane (HFC 134a) is a gas (boiling point -26°C) of low solubility and direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely. Moreover, HFC 134a has a low potential for absorbtion on soils (log Kow = 1.06). Therefore it is anticipated that any releases of HFC 134a will have negligible impact on terrestrial plants.
