Calculation of partition coefficient:

The partition coefficient of the test item was calculated by the use of the concentration of the test item in the water layer and 1-octanol layer according to the following equation:

Log Pow = Co /Cw

Co is the concentration of test item in 1-octanol layer (mg/l)

Cw is the concentration of test item in water layer (mg/l)

The total average of Log Pow is 2.24 with a standard deviation of 0.021 and a maximum difference of 0.05.

Conclusions:
The logarithm of partition coefficient is 2.24 at 25°C and pH between 6.2 to 6.4.
Executive summary:

The partition coefficient of the test item was determined according to a recognised guideline (OECD 107). No deviation from the guideline was observed during the study.

The test item concentration in each phase ( 1-octanol saturated with water and water saturated with 1-octanol) has been determined by gas chromatography with FID detection.

The logarithm of partition coefficient is equal to 2.24 at 25°C and the pH is measured between 6.2 to 6.4.

Description of key information
