Interpretation of results:
Category 1 (flammable gases) based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The test item is classified as Category 1 Flammable gases according to GHS criteria.
The lower explosion limit in mixture with air is 5.5 mol%.
The upper explosion limit in mixture with air is 27.2 mol%.
Executive summary:

The flammable properties of the test item has been determined according to recognized guideline (DIN 51649; the test apparatus and test method corresponded to ISO 10156 N°4.2).

The test item possess flammable range. The lower explosion limit in mixture with air is 5.5 mol%. The upper explosion limit in mixture with air is 27.2 mol%.

Based on these results, the test item is classified as Category 1 (flammable gases) based on GHS criteria.

Flammability:
flammable

Additional information

In a key study (performed according to DIN 51649, part 1) and in a supporting study (performed according to European method EU A.11), a flammability range have been found for the test item. The lower explosion limit found is the same in the both studies (5.5 mol% and between 5 to 6 mol%). The upper explosion limit have been determined only in the key study (27 mol %).

The test item is classified as Category 1 (flammable gases) based on GHS criteria.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on these flammability range obtained in the two experimental studies, the test item is classified as Category 1 (flammable gases) based on GHS criteria.

Based on handling and experimental study (water solubility), the test item is know to not emits flammable gases in contact with water
