Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Toxicity to soil macroorganisms except arthropods: Key study: The median lethal concentration (LC50) after 48 hours, for zinc acetate was 13 µg/cm2 (study performed due to method described by OECD 207 guideline).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Key study: Experimental results: study performed due to method described by OECD 207 guideline.

The earthworm Acute Toxicity Test for zinc acetate was performed with Eisenia fetida. As initial toxicity screening, the paper contact test was used. At least five fresh aqueous test substance dilutions with concentrations from 0% to 100% of mortality were tested. Ten o more replicates for each concentration were performed. Controls with everything except test substance were included in the assay. The test was performed without a reference substance.

The median lethal concentration (LC50) after 48 hours, for zinc acetate was 13 µg/cm2.
