Specific details on test material used for the study:
STABILITY AND STORAGE CONDITIONS OF TEST MATERIAL:
- At room temperature

OTHER SPECIFICS:
- Purity/composition correction factor: No correction factor required.
- Test item hanling: No specific handling conditions required, but for practical reason the test item could be kept on ice to avoid evaporation of the material before and between performance of physico-chemical tests.

Water solubility:
> 1 000 g/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Incubation duration:
3 h
Temp.:
19.8 °C
pH:
1.5
Remarks on result:
other: Visual observation

As the sample was clear and no undissolved test item was observed after the preliminary test, it was decided that the main test was not useful.

Conclusions:
The water solubility of 1,1,1-trifluoroacetone at 20°C (pH 1.5) was > 1000 g/L.
Executive summary:

Measurement of the water solubility of 1,1,1 -trifluoroacetone was performed by visual observation according to standardised guidelines (OECD TG 105 and EU A.6) under GLP conditions.

The water solubility of 1,1,1-trifluoroacetone at 20°C (pH 1.5) was > 1000 g/L. Therefore, the test item is considered as very soluble in water.
