Administrative data
First-aid measures
The substance may irritate the eyes. In case of contact with the eyes rinse immediately with abundant water and if irritation persists seek medical attention.
The substance may irritate the skin upon frequent or prolongued contact. Wash hands and other exposed skin areas with abundant water and soap and if irritation persists seek medical advice.
The dust generated by the substance may irritate the airways and leave a characteristic tartaric taste in the mouth. Move to fresh air and get medical attention if breathing difficulty persists. Rinse mouth with plenty of water.
In the event of ingestion of a significnant amount (more than a few grammes) drink abundant water and induce vomit. In the event of irritation, if gastrointestinal disorders appear, or any other discomfort arises, seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
The substance is nor flammable however in the event of fire suitable extinguising media are_ water, caorbon dioxide, powder and foam,

Accidental release measures
Small spills of the solid can be aspirated or wet cleaned and collected for disposal as non-hazardous waste.
Large spills should be collected avoiding the generation of dust and avoidng air-blowing devices. Suitable protective gloves, dust-masks and protective clothing should be worn in these operations.
The entry of large amounts of the substance into waterways and other water bodies should be avoided as substance may reduce the amount of avavilable oxygen in the water due to rapid biodegradation.
In the event of any major spill to the ground or to the water local or regional competent Authorities should be contacted.
Handling and storage
Use the product in a suitably ventilated area avoiding the formation of dust. Use a dust mask (Filtering facepiece particulate respirators, FFP2 EN149:2001 or particle filters that can be attached to a face mask, EN 143, P2) if significant amounts of powder are expected to be released and wear protective gloves (either latex or nitrile gloves) and safety glasses if exposure to skin and eyes can be expected.
Store in closed containers in a cool and dry place.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Not applicable as substance is not classified as dangerous according to criteria in Directive 67/548/EEC or in Regulation EC 1272/2008, neither is it considered to be a PBT or vPvB substance. Thereby, according to art. 14 of REACH there is no requirement to perform an exposure assessment to the subsequent risk characterisation for the substance which concerns this dossier.

Substance becoming waste should be treated as a discarded non-hazardous chemical and disposed of via an authorised waste management company. The entry oin the European Waste List (2001/118/EC) which best descroibed this waste is: EWC 16 05 09 "Discarded chemicals other than those mentioned in 16 05 06, 16 05 07 or 16 05 08"
