First-aid measures

General  advice: In  the case of  accident or  if you feel  unwell,  seek medical ad-vice  immediately.First aider  needs  to protect himself.Move  out  of dangerous  area.Take  off  all contaminated  clothing immediately.

If  inhaled: If  breathed  in, move  person  into fresh  air.If  breathing  is irregular  or  stopped,  administer  artificial  respiration.

In  case of  skin contact: Wash off  immediately  with  soap and  plenty  of water.

In  case of  eye contact: Immediately  flush eye(s)  with  plenty of  water. Protect unharmed  eye.

If  swallowed: Call  a physician immediately.Rinse  mouth  thoroughly  with wate

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable  extinguishing  media: Dry powder, Carbon  dioxide  (CO2), Foam, Water spray jet

Unsuitable  extinguishing media: High  volume  water  jet

Hazardous  combustion  products: Carbon  dioxide  (CO2), Carbon  monoxide

Special protective  equipment for  firefighters: Wear  self-contained  breathing  apparatus  and  protective  suit.

Further  information: Standard  procedure  for  chemical fires. In  the event  of  fire  and/or  explosion  do  not breathe  fumes. Use extinguishing  measures  that are

appropriate  to local circumstances and  the surrounding  environment. Please observe  escape and  rescue  routes! Fire  residues  and  contaminated  fire  extinguishing

water  must be  disposed  of in  accordance  with  local regulations.

Accidental release measures

Personal  precautions: Wear  personal  protective  equipment. Unprotected persons must be kept away. Avoid  contact with skin, eyes and  clothing. The  danger areas must be delimited  and  identified  using  relevant warning and safety  signs.

Environmental  precautions: Avoid  release  to the  environment. Retain  and  dispose  of  contaminated  wash water.

Methods  for  cleaning  up: Allow  to solidify,  use mechanical  handling  equipment. The hot melt is to be  taken up only  by trained  personnel  (fire-brigade). Chemical  protection suit and, if necessary, additional heat-protection  gloves, should  be

worn when  handling  the product. Clean  contaminated  floors  and  objects thoroughly, observing environmental regulations. Dispose of absorbed  material  in accordance with the regulations. Containers in which spilt substance has been collected

must be adequately labelled.

Handling and storage

Advice on safe handling: Handle  in accordance  with good  industrial  hygiene  and  safety practice. Avoid  contact of  the substance. Wear personal protective equipment. Handle with care and  avoid dust formation.

Advice on protection against fire and  explosion: Normal  measures for  preventive fire  protection. Dust can form  an explosive  mixture with air. Take  measures  to prevent  the build up of electrostatic charge. Keep

away from heat and sources of  ignition.

Requirements  for  storage areas  and  containers: Keep  containers  tightly closed in a dry, cool and  well-ventilated  place. Keep  away from  heat  and  sources of ignition.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Product  should  be worked  up in  closed equipment. Provide  sufficient  air  exchange  and/or  exhaust in work  rooms. Do  not inhale  dust. Avoid  contact with eyes and  skin

Eye protection: Depending  on  the risk, wear  sufficient  eye protection  (safety glasses with side  protection  or goggles,  and/or if  necessary, face  shield.)

Hand  protection:

Suitable: Butyl rubber gloves. Nitrile  rubber

Break  through  time: > 240  minGlove  thickness: 0,4 -0,5  mm

Choose  gloves  to protect hands  against  chemicals depending on  the concentration  and  quantity of  the hazardous  substance and  specific to place  of work. The  selected protective  gloves  have  to comply to the specifications of  Regulation  (EU)  2016/425  and  the standard  EN  374 derived  from  it. Take  note  of  the information  given  by the producer  concerning  permeability  and  break  through  times, and  of  special workplace  conditions  (mechanical  strain, duration  of  contact). Gloves  must be inspected  prior  to use. Gloves  should  be  discarded  and  replaced  if  there  is any indication of  degradation  or  chemical breakthrough. Gloves  must be rinsed  thoroughly  after  use.

When  handling hot material,  use heat  resistant gloves.

Skin and  body protection: Choose  body protection  in relation  to its type, to the  concentration  and  amount  of  dangerous  substances, and  to the specific workplace,  e.g. apron,  boots, protective  suit (EN 14605, EN ISO 13982-1,  EN 13034). When  handling  hot melts use suitable protective  clothing.

Respiratory  protection: In  the case of  vapour  formation  use a respirator  with an  approved  filter. Respiratory  protection complying  with DIN  EN 14387. Respirator with filter type ABEK is suitable. In case of  handling the pure solid product and if dust  formation can be expected,  use  a fine dust face mask according to EN 143. P2 filter.

Stability and reactivity

No decomposition if stored and applied as directed.

Hazardous  reactions: Reactions  with acids, bases. Reactions  with reducing  agents.

Conditions  to avoid: Protect from  heat and direct sunlight.

Materials  to avoid: Strong  oxidizing  agents, strong  reducing agents, acids and bases.

Hazardous  decomposition  products: No  decomposition  if  stored  and  applied  as directed.

Disposal considerations

Waste, which contains the substance must be disposed as hazardeous waste in compliance with the local regulations and with permission of the local authorities. Incineration in a dedicated waste incineration plant is appropriate.

Contaminated packaging, which can´t be cleaned and recycled, must be disposed like the product.
