Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

With high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic algae.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Experimental data on the toxicity of the test substance to algae are not available. Therefore, the toxicity was assessed with the experimental data available from the read-across to the structurally similar substance CAS 1328-53-6. The study with Desmodesmus subspicatusas a test organismwas performed according to OECD 201. The test concentrations were not analytically verified. The 72-h ErC50 value was determined to be higher than the highest test concentration of 100 mg/L and the 72-h ErC10 value was found to be also higher than 100 mg/L (nominal, BASF AG, 2000).

Based on the available experimental data from the read-across to the structurally similar chemical, CAS 147 -14 -8 is assessed to be with high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic algae.
