Additional information

Ready Biodegradation of Sodium N-lauroylsarcosinate (CAS 137-16-6) was investigated in one study according to ISO 14593 “Water quality - Evaluation of ultimate aerobic biodegradability of organic compounds in aqueous medium - Method by analysis of inorganic carbon in sealed vessels (CO2 headspace test)” and GLP. Activated domestic sludge was used as inoculum and CO2 evolution was the parameter followed for biodegradation estimation. The substance attained 82% degradation after 28 days and can thus be classified as readily biodegradable.
