Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The test substance was thermically degraded at 189°C, prior to having reached its melting point. Hence the value of 189°C is given as worst case melting point temperature.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
189 °C

Additional information

The decomposition temperature of 189°C is provided as the worst case melting point temperature, since it was not possible to determine the melting point due to decomposition of the substance prior to melting. The HSDB data base provides a melting point of 170 to 173°C for CAS 127 -52 -6, the main constituent of "CAS 127 -52 -6 trihydrate", which is considered supportive to the value of 189°C.
