Description of key information

This substance is not expected to undergo hydrolysis due to lack of hydrolysable functional groups.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI,the hydrolysis study does not need to be conducted as this substanceis not expected to undergo hydrolysis in the environment due to a lack of hydrolysable functional groups and therefore testing does not appear scientifically necessary. In support of this waive, a study of the hydrolysis of this substance has been conducted (Kurume 1999). This study, performed according to standard guidelines, observed no hydrolysis of the test substance at 50 ± 1 °C over a period of 5 days for samples at pHs of 4, 7 and 9.
