Additional information

Based on the moderate vapour pressure combined with the good water solubility, cyclohexanone will slowly evaporate from the water surface into the atmosphere where it is expected to be degraded by reaction with hydroxyl radicals (estimated half-lifetime: 2.5 days). The substances is hydrolytically stable and has a low potential for adsorption to soil, sediments, suspended matter and sludge. Cyclohexanone is readily biodegradable. In natural water the substance will not exist for extended time periods due to degradation by microorganisms.
