Description of key information

Cyanuric acid is a white odourless solid in the form of crystals or a powder. The melting point of cyanuric acid is between 350 - 360°C. Cyanuric acid decomposes at 320 - 375°C without melting. Since a liquid phase is never formed, a boiling point cannot be measured. The relative density of cyanuric acid is 1.75 g/L. Cyanuric acid has a log pow of -1.31 at 25°C. Cyanuric acid is soluble in water. Cyanuric acid is not considered flammable, or has any explosive or oxidizing properties based on its chemical structure. Cyanuric acid is considered to be stable in a variety of organic solvents. The proportion of CYA having an inhalable particle size < 100 µm (sieve method) = 38.7%. Proportion of CYA having a thoracic particle size < 10.0µm (cascade impactor method) = 0.734%. Proportion of CYA having a respirable particle size < 5.5 µm (cascade impactor method) = 0.356%.
