EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
9.82 mg/L

Additional information

In a 72-hour static GLP test with the green alga Scenedesmus subspicatus (new name: Desmodesmus subspicatus) according to OECD guideline 201, the algal toxicity of the analogous substance isobutyl vinyl ether was investigated (BASF 2004).

The read-across is suitable because the substance has te same functional groups and a comparable moelcular structure and size, according to SIDS Initial Assessment Profile 23, 17-20 October 2006.

Statistical evaluation of the endpoint growth rate revealed an EC50 (72h) of 45.9 mg/L, the NOEC was calculated to be 9.82 mg/L, both related to the mean of the analytically determined concentrations.
