Description of key information

Explosive Properties (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 Annex VIII REACH). The test substance contains none of the reactive groups that could be responsible for explosive properties. Therefore explosive properties of the test substance are unlikely.

The test procedure described in Regulation (EC) No 440/2008, method A.14 need not be carried out when examination of the structural formula established beyond reasonable doubt that the substance has no explosive properties. The reactive groups are listed e.g. in Bretherick's Handbook of Reactive Chemical Hazards, on page S20 ff, 5 th edition, 1995, Butterworth-Heinemann, Oxford.

The test substance contains none of the reactive groups that could be responsible for explosive properties. Therefore explosive properties of the test substance are unlikely.
