Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

At room temperature, the product is close to its setting point. It can therefore occur both as a liquid and as a sticky, non-crystalline, solid.

The test material has a melting range of 34 -36°C and boiling range of 358 -361°C at atmospheric pressure. The relative density of the test item is 1.183 at 20°C, relative to water at 4°C. The test item was found to have a vapour pressure of 0.07 hPa at 20°C, a water solubility of 3.60 mg/L at 20.0°C and a log Kow of 4.18 at 23.7°C.

The flashpoint at atmospheric pressure is 180°C. Auto-ignition was not assessed experimentally as this study does not need to be conducted for solids if the melting point is below 160°C. The substance was found to be not flammable.

The test substance does not contain functional groups which are associated with explosive or oxidising properties. Moreover, based on the chemical structure surface activity is not expected.

The substance does not need to be classified for physical hazards.
