Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VIII (section 9.3.1), the adsorption/desorption study does not need to be conducted if the substance and its relevant degradation products decompose rapidly. As the substance is readily biodegradable no testing is necessary.

Additional information

Even though an adsorption/desorption study is not needed as the substance is readily biodegradable, the log Kow was estimated using the EpiSuite KOCWIN QSAR for the purpose of environmental risk assessment.

EpiSuite KOCWIN is a widely used and accepted model, and the substance was found to be within the applicability domain of the QSAR.

The calculated log Koc value is 2.6004 (MCI method) or 2.5244 (Log Kow method) and the estimated Koc value is 398.5 L/kg (MCI method) or 334.5 L/kg (Log Kow method).
