Additional information

Based on its low log kow, the substance is not expected to sorb significantly on soil or sediment. Therefore, soil and sediment are not expected to be the main target compartments for exposure assessment. When release in water compartment, the substance is not expected to be degraded, neither abiotically nor biotically. Indeed, the substance was demonstrated to be hydrolytically stable and not readily biodegradable. Based on its low log Kow and the low calculated BCF, the substance is not expected to bioaccumulate. Therefore, the substance is considered as not PBT and not vPvB. Therefore, no further studies are required in the framework of the PBT/vPvB assessment. In addition, the Chemical Safety Assessment does not indicate any risk for any environmental compartment in any scenario (RCRs < 1). Therefore, in accordance with column 2 of Annex IX of REACH regulation EC 1907/2006, no degradation simulation study is needed.
