Administrative data

First-aid measures

Do not breathe vapours.

Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.

Take affected persons out of danger area and lay down.

Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.

Artificial respiration with respiration bag or respirator

Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with soap and water/shower..

Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.

• After skin contact:

Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with soap and water/shower.

If skin irritation or rash occurs, get medical advice/attention.

• After eye contact:

Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.

• After swallowing:

IF SWALLOWED: rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting.

Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.

• Information for doctor:

The following symptoms may occur:

After inhalation: Irritation of mucous membranes, coughing, shortness of breath.

After swallowing: Irritation and burns in mouth, throat, esophagus and gastrointestinal tract.

After contact with eyes: Burns

After skin contact: Burns.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing agents:

Carbon dioxide, fog, foam, alcohol foam, dry chemical or dry sand for extinction

Fight larger fires with water spray.

• Unsuitable extinguishing agents: Water with full jet

• Special hazards caused by the substance, its products of combustion or resulting gases:

Hydrogen cyanide (HCN)

Nitrogen oxides (NOx)

Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide

Danger of forming toxic pyrolysis products.

• Protective equipment:

Wear fully protective suit.

Use Self-Contained Respiratory Protective device.

Do not inhale explosion gases or combustion gases.

Cool endangered receptacles with water spray.

Collect contaminated fire fighting water separately. It must not enter the sewage system.

Accidental release measures

• Person-related safety precautions:

Use respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes/dust/aerosol.

Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.

Keep unprotected persons away.

• Measures for environmental protection:

Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.

• Measures for cleaning/collecting:

Absorb with liquid-binding material (sand, diatomite, acid binders, universal binders,

sawdust).

Dispose contaminated material as waste according to item 13.

Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local/regional/national/international regulations…

Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.

Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace.

Contain bigger quantities and pump into suitable receptacle.

Handling and storage

• Handling:

Do not breathe vapours.

Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.

Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product.

Handle in a well-ventilated place, especially at floor level. (Fumes are heavier than air).

Open and handle receptacle with care.

Prevent formation of aerosols.

• Storage:

Keep cool.  Recommended storage temperature: 0 to 10°C.

Storage class: According to VCI concept: LGK 3 A (flammable fluid substances)

Store locked up.

Keep container tightly closed.

Store in a well-ventilated place.

Do not store together with strong acids, alkalines and oxidation agents.

Keep away from ignition sources.

Keep away from heat/sparks/open flames/hot surfaces. ... No smoking.

Ground/bond container and receiving equipment.

Use only non-sparking tools.

Use explosion-proof electrical/ventilating/lighting/.../ equipment.

Take precautionary measures against static discharge.

Store only in the original receptacle.

Provide solvent resistant, sealed floor.

Provide floor trough without outlet.

Exposure controls / personal protection
