Description of key information

 exposure considerations – There is no concern for exposure of sediment organisms to the test substance. As calculated by EPI Suite TM, if EMA is released into water, it mainly remains in the water (97.4% (m/m)) and is predicted to partition only to a small degree into sediment (0.2% (m/m)). The expected amount to be distributed into sediment is considered as negligible.
 Furthermore, the substance is readily biodegradable and has no potential for bioaccumulation as indicated by the log Kow of 1.87 and the calculated BCF of 8. Thus, EMA is not expected to persist in soil. 
 Consequently, no risk for sediment environment is assumed and further testing of sediment toxicity is not required.
