Principles of method if other than guideline:
A Computer program has been developed for estimating both the partition coefficient between 1-octanol and water phases and the aqueous solubility from the structural formula. This system is an extended version of a previously described program entitled CHEMICALC for the automatic estimation of the partition coeficient. The aqueous solubility is estimated via two pathways. The first is based on the estimation from logPow. In the second, combined handling of two available group contribution methods.

A stalogmometric method was used, according to which the number of drops per unit of time in the case of saturated solutions and their dilutions were compared with similar determinations upon a series of solutions of known content. For obtaining saturation lon periods of shaking were often necessary.

Executive summary:

The author used a stalogmometric method, in which the number of drops per unit of time in the case of saturated solutions and their dilutions were compared with similar determinations upon a series of solutions of known content. For obtaining saturation long period of shaking were often necessary.
