1,1,2-trichloroethane does not have a flash-point below 75 °C

The flash point of 1,1,2 -trichloroethane was determined using 2 different generally accepted methodologies, i.e. ASTM D93 mod and ISO 3679. Both test showed that the flash pont of 1,1,2 -dichloroethane is above 75°C. These 2 experimental results overrule the only result found in literature, i.e. the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics 81st Ed. reported a flashpoint of 32°C.
Therefore, no classification of 1,1,2 -trichloroethane as flammable is considered necessary.
