Additional information

Short-term (acute) aquatic toxicity

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

The 48 hours EC50was > 4.34 mg/L (nominal > 100 mg/L) and, thus, could not be determined in this test.

Toxicity to algae and cyanobacteria

The 72h EC50value was 2.5 mg/L for yield and the EC50value for the growth rate could not be determined as it exceeds the highest concentration used in this study (> 3.33 mg/L).

Conclusion on classification

Classification, Labeling, and Packaging Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008

The available experimental test data are reliable and suitable for classification purposes under Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008. Therefore, the test item is determined be readily biodegradable. For all aquatic tests the substance showed no toxic effect on the tested species. Based on these results, the substance is considered as not classified for short-term (acute) aquatic toxicity and not classified for long-term (chronic) aquatic toxicity according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP), as amended for the fourteenth time in Regulation (EU) 2020/217.
