Additional information

The absence of any structural alert indicating a potential explosiveness of chloroform is taken as the basis for the justification to not test the explosive properties of the substance. According to REACH annex VII, column 2, section 7.11 and the R7A Endpoint Specific Guidance, a study does not need to be conducted as there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule of chloroform.
