Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: VDI-Richtlinie 2263
Principles of method if other than guideline:
The aim of the test is to determine if and to what extent a fire started by an external source will propagate in a dust layer
1.2.2 Test Procedure
a) at room temperature
The prepared sampie (approx. 5 cm3) is deposited on the ceramic plate as a strip approximately 2 cm wide and 4 cm long. One tries to ignite the sample from one end with the glowing platinum wire. A small flame can also be used in questionable cases for local ignition
GLP compliance:
no
