Additional information

A reliable short-term toxicity study with fish is available for acetone oxime. Additionally, a reliable (Klimisch 1) short-term toxicity study with fish has been conducted the analogue, butanone oxime and is included in this dossier.

Gieger et al (1990) conducted a reliable (Klimisch 2) study with the fathead minnow,Pimephales promelas. Thirty day old fish were exposed to measured concentrations of 0, 158, 251, 350, 566, 866 mg/L acetone oxime for 96 hrs under flow-through conditions. The 96-h LC50 was 558 mg/L, based on mortality.

Kurume Laboratory (1998) conducted a reliable (Klimisch 1) GLP compliant study following OECD 203 methods. Medaka,Oryzias latipes, were exposed to measured concentrations of the analogue, butanone oxime, for 96 hrs under semi-static conditions. The 96 hr LC50 was not provided but the 96 hr NOEC was >100 mg/L.

A reliable short-term toxicity study with fish is available for acetone oxime. Gieger et al (1990) reports a 96hr LC50 for short term toxicity in fish of 558 mg/L. Consequently this value will be taken as the short-term toxicity in fish endpoint for acetone oxime.
