Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The toxicity of the test substance to the green algae, Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, was determined in a 72-hour, static toxicity test. The LOEC and NOEC values for cell count, cell count yield, and growth rate based on cell count, based on nominal concentrations of the test substance were determined to be 60 mg/L (12 mg/L based on ~20% solids) and 30 mg/L (6 mg/L based on ~20% solids), respectively. The EbC50 value (95% confidence intervals) based on cell count and nominal concentrations was 59.2 mg/L (11.8 mg/L based on ~20% solids content)(18.3 to 100 mg/L). The EyC50 (95% confidence intervals) value based on cell count yield and nominal concentrations was 58.9 mg/L (11.8 mg/L based on ~20% solids content)(18.0 to 99.7 mg/L). The ErC50 value based on growth rate based on cell count and nominal concentrations was 112 mg/L (22.4 mg/L based on ~20% solids content) (81.0 to 142 mg/L). The LOEC and NOEC values for cell count, cell count yield, and growth rate based on cell count, based on mean, measured concentrations of the test substance (calculated based on measured values of the bis-ester component) were determined to be 50.8 mg/L (10.2 mg/L based on ~20% solids content) and 19.8 mg/L (3.9 mg/L based on ~20% solids content), respectively. The EbC50 value (95% confidence intervals) based on cell count and mean, measured concentrations was 46.3 mg/L(9.3 mg/L based on ~20% solids content) (13.7 to 78.9 mg/L). The EyC50 (95% confidence intervals) value based on cell count yield and mean, measured concentrations was 46.1 mg/L (9.2 mg/L based on ~20% solids content) (13.4 to 78.7 mg/L). The ErC50 value based on growth rate based on cell count and mean, measured concentrations was 94.0 mg/L(18.8 mg/L based on ~20% solids content) (72.0 to 116 mg/L). The most sensitive parameter was cell density yield with an EyC50 of 58.9 mg/L (11.8 mg/L based on ~20% solids content) and a NOEC of 30 mg/L (6 mg/L based on ~20% solids) based on nominal concentrations; and an EyC50 of 46.1 mg/L (9.2 mg/L based on ~20% solids content) and a NOEC of 19.8 mg/L (4.0 mg/L based on ~20% solids content) based on mean, measured concentrations. The test substance was determined to be algistatic at nominal concentrations less than or equal to 120 mg/L (24 mg/L based on ~20% solids content).
