Additional information

Data on aquatic bioaccumulation can be waived in accordance with column 2 of REACH (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006) Annex IX, stating that the bioaccumulation in aquatic species study (required in section 9.3.2) does not need to be conducted as direct and indirect exposure of the aquatic compartment is unlikely. The substance is a monomer manufactured and used industrially in the production of polymers, plastics (thermoplastics), and polymerization processes. At the end of these processes, the monomer is completely transformed into the polymeric matrix and therefore no exposure to the environment is expected

However, a study with high reliability is available for the substance, showing low aquatic bioaccumulation in both levels of exposure (< 8, < 80).
