The substance has been shown to be not readily biodegradable according to the test metod described in the OECD Guideline 301 C (Ready Biodegradability: Modified MITI Test (I)).

Simulation testing on ultimate degradation in surface water is not proposed by the registrant as direct and indirect exposure of the aquatic compartment is unlikely. The substance is a monomer manufactured and used industrially in the production of polymers, plastics (thermoplastics), and polymerization processes.

In accordance with column 2 of REACH (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006) Annex IX, the sediment simulation testing (required in section 9.2.1.4) does not need to be conducted as direct and indirect exposure of sediment is unlikely. The substance is a monomer manufactured and used industrially in the production of polymers, plastics (thermoplastics), and polymerization processes.

In accordance with column 2 of REACH (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006) Annex IX, the soil simulation testing (required in section 9.2.1.3) does not need to be conducted as direct and indirect exposure of soil is unlikely. The substance is a monomer manufactured and used industrially in the production of polymers, plastics (thermoplastics), and polymerization processes.
