Half-life in air:
3 h

Additional information

Waiver: In accordance with Annex X of the Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 REACH concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), phototransformation in air are not mandatory information requirements. However, modeled data are presented for informational purposes.

The authors found that the calculated vapour phase half-life p-tert-amylphenol was 3 hours.

The atmospheric photo-oxidation rate for p-tert-amylphenol was calculated using EPISuite v4.1 (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency EPISuite. Estimation Program Interface (EPI) Suite Version 4.1. Washington, DC). In view of the short half-life, photo-oxidation may be an important degradation process for the removal of p-tert-amylphenol from the atmosphere.
