Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Justification for type of information:
A biodegradation simulation study in water in accordance with OECD 309 has been performed. As the results of this study show that the substance is persistent in surface water, no further information is needed for the other compartments for persistence assessment (REACH Guidance R.11 section R.11.4.1.1.1).

Description of key information

The results of the aerobic mineralisation study of radiolabeled Pergafast 201 at 12 ºC in surface water show that the DT50 values are between 212 days (low test concentration) and 306 days (high test concentration).

As these values indicate that the substance is Persistent in water, no further studies are required for the other compartments.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In a study according to OECD 307 the amount of the parent compound in soil decreased down to a value of 14 % of the initial amount in 30 days. An appendant half-life for the parent compound in soil of 4.9 days was determined (IES 2010). However, the study was disregarded due to major methodological deficiencies.
