EC number: 270-752-4 | CAS number: 68477-71-4 A complex combination of hydrocarbons obtained from fractionation of catalytic cracked gas oil hydrocarbon stream and treated to remove hydrogen sulfide and other acidic components. It consists of hydrocarbons having carbon numbers in the range of C3 through C5, predominantly C4.

Data on the physical and chemical properties of members of the other petroleum gases were obtained from peer reviewed handbooks which are deemed reliable for use.
The majority of data available were for susbtances which are representative of the composition of the streams included in this category, including methane, ethane propane and butane. As these substances have a similar structure to the streams, they can be predicted to have similar properties and environmental fate and so this data has been read across to the category members for which data were not available.
