Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Read-across from the Zonyl ELS study indicates the following results: 90-day NOEC and LOEC were 2.5 mg/L and 5 mg/L based on nominal Zonyl concentrations (0.88 mg/L and 1.75 mg/L based on nominal 35% a.i. in Zonyl)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Zonyl and TNS are considered sufficiently similar to facilitate a read-across of this data endpoint. In this case, experimental data in accordance with test guidelines OPPTS 850.1400; OECD 210; a flow-through study with Zonyl using measured test concentrations and conducted under GLP is available. This study gave rise to the following results: 90-day NOEC and LOEC were 2.5 mg/L and 5 mg/L based on nominal Zonyl concentrations (0.88 mg/L and 1.75 mg/L based on nominal 35% solids in Zonyl). Mean measured concentrations of Zonyl were within 80% of nominal concentrations, therefore, results are reported based on nominal Zonyl concentrations. As part of weight of evidence approach, the chronic study on the closely related Zonyl, adequately addresses the long-term effects in fish information requirement.
