First-aid measures

- Following inhalation: Bring affected persons into the fresh air.

- Following skin contact: Wash off with plenty of water.

- Following eye contact: Remove any contact lenses. Immediately wash affected eyes for at least 15 minutes under running water with eyelids held open. Consult an eye specialist.

- Following ingestion: Encourage victim to sip water (diluting effect). Induce vomiting. Consult doctor if feeling unwell.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media: water spray, extinguishing powder, CO2

- Unsuitable extinguishing media: high volume water jet

- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Flammable; Formation of dangerous gases possible in case of fire. In case of fire sulphur oxide can occur.

- Advice for fire fighter: Special protective equipment: Staying in hazard area only with self-contained breathing apparatus. Do not allow fire water to penetrate into surface or ground water.

- Personal precautions: Avoid generation of dusts. Do not inhale dust. Provide for fresh air in closed rooms.

- Environmental precautions: Prevent product and large quantities of contaminated washing water from invading surface waters and soil.

Exposure controls / personal protection

The protective gloves to be used must comply with the specifications of EC directive 89/686/EEC the resultant standard EN 374. By removing the gloves avoid contact with the product. Wash hands and face after work.

-Body protection: Protective clothing should be selected specifically for the working place, depending on concentration and quantity of the hazardous substances handled. The resistance of the protective clothing to chemicals should be ascertained with respective supplier. Change any contaminated clothing and dispose of it safely.

-Eye protection: necessary (Safety goggles with side guard)

-Respiratory protection: Respiratory protection not required. When dusts are generated a dust mask of type FFP1 is used.
