Description of key information

The algal growth inhibion of cis-cycloocten in Scenedesmus subspicatus was evaluated (Infracor 1998) in a 72 -h test according to EU method C.3. As the test item concentration could not be maintained within an acceptable range the results have to be treated with some caution. The following endpoints were derived: EC50 > 11.4 mg/L; NOEC≥ 11.4 mg/L.
ECr50: (72 hours) >11.4 mg/L
NOEC (72 hours, based on area under the curve): = 11.4 mg/L

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
11.4 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
11.4 mg/L
