Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

Biodegradation of 1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6(1H,3H,5H)-trithione, trisodium salt (TMT, CAS No. 17766-26-6) was investigated in three GLP-studies using domestic activated sludge as inoculum. The first key study (92-0067-DGO) was carried out with TMT 15 according to OECD guideline 302 B. The supporting study (87-0024-DGO) was carried out according to DEV H5 and NEN 3235-5.3 and used TMT 60. For further information, a second key study (2001-0100-DGO) investigating the anaerobic biodegradability of TMT 15 according to DIN EN ISO 11734 is added. Under all three test conditions, no biodegradation of the substance was observed.
