First-aid measures

- If INHALED: Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.
- When in doubt or symptoms persist, seek medical attention
- If SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. NEVER make an unconscious person vomit or drink fluids.
- If vomiting occurs turn patient on side
- Rinse mouth with water (do not swallow)
- Seek medical advice
- IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses,if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
- Seek medical attention if irritation persists
- IF ON SKIN: Gently wash with plenty of soap and water. - Seek medical attention if irritation persists
- Contaminated clothing should be laundered before reuse
- Can cause damage to the eyes
- May cause redness and irritation

Fire-fighting measures

- Extinguishing media: Not flammable. In case of fire use extinguishing media appropriate to surrounding conditions.
- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Low hazard expected under normal conditions of use
- Advice for firefighters: Keep container(s) exposed to fire cool, by spraying with water. Keep upwind. Prevent run off water from entering drains if possible. Wear chemical protection suit and positive-pressure breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Wear protective clothing. Shut off source of leak if safe to do so. Spillage causes slippery surface. Wash thoroughly after dealing with spillage. Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray. Ensure adequate ventilation.
- Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter public sewers and watercourses.
- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Collect as much as possible in clean container for reuse or disposal. Absorb spillage in inert material and shovel up. Place in sealable container. Seal containers and label them. Disposal should be in accordance with local, state or national legislation. Wash thoroughly after dealing with spillage.

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling: Do not breathe dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear protective clothing. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Proper chemicals handling procedures should be adopted.
- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Store in a well-ventilated place and keep container tightly closed. Protect from frost.
- Specific end use(s): The Intended use is industrial and institutional markets.

Exposure controls / personal protection

- Control parameters: No exposure limits have been set for this substance. Ethanediol; ethylene glycol WEL (long term) 52 mg/m3 WEL (long term) 20 ppm WEL (short term) 104 mg/m3 WEL (short term) 40 ppm.
- Exposure controls: Eyewash bottles should be available. Contaminated clothing should be laundered before reuse. No special ventilation is required unless the product is used in a spray form. Wear suitable protective clothing, including eye/face protection and gloves (neoprene or nitrile are recommended). For exposure of 1 to 4 hours use gloves made of :neoprene or nitrile thickness (1.45 to 1.85 mm). Discard gloves as soon as any signs of degradation are noticed.

Stability and reactivity

- Reactivity: No hazardous reactions known if used for its intended purpose.
- Chemical stability: Considered stable under normal conditions.
- Possibility of hazardous reactions: No hazardous reactions known if used for its intended purpose.
- Conditions to avoid: Keep away from frost.
- Incompatible materials: None.
- Hazardous decomposition products: No hazardous decomposition products known.

Disposal considerations

- Waste treatment methods: Do not discharge into drains or the environment, dispose to an authorised waste collection point. Disposal should be in accordance with local, state or national legislation.
