Additional information

"Should read: <0.0031 g/L"

With the test item LAS 8068-2, the water solubility in demineralized water was deter-mined by the flask method. Based on OECD 105 (EC A.6.) and OECD 120 (EC A.20.) guidelines, two different concentrations of the test item in demineralized water were prepared and agitated for 24 hours. After filtration of the suspensions, the water solubility was determined by total organic carbon (TOC) of the aqueous phases calculated with the carbon content of the test item (purity 100 %) determined by CHN analysis.

In a mixture or multi-constituent substance, each constituent has its own solubility which may differ from the solubility of the others. For the test item LAS 8068-2 no longer soluble constituents were observed, because the water solubility shows the same result at different concentrations (100 mg/L and 1000 mg/L). The limit of quantification of TOC determination is 0.002 g/L, therefore the limit of quantification for the test item is 0.0031 g/L (3.1 mg/L).
