The highest burning rate recorded for Thio-Acid in cellulose was 0.9 mm.s -1. Comparing this value with the highest burning rate of Barium Nitrate (1.7 mm.s-1) the sample of Thio-Acid should be classed as ‘Not an oxidising solid’.
