Description of key information

The BCF of the 1,1,2 trichloroethane was reported to be between 0.7 to 6.7 depending on the tested concentration.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Only a brief summary of a study conducted according to OECD Guidelines 305C was available (NITE, 2001). The BCF of the substance was reported to be between 0.7 to 6.7 depending on the tested concentration.

The potential for bioaccumulation should be considered to be low, because the BCF of 0.7 to 6.7 is in agreement with the relatively low log Kow value of about 2 at 25°C.
