Conclusions:
From authorative database HSDB, an estimated BCF of 2.1 (dimensionless) was calculated for 1H-benzimidazole (i.e benzimidazol),using log Kow of 1.32 and a regression derived equation.
Executive summary:

Based on an experimental log/octanol water partition coefficient of 1.32, a bioconcentration factor of 2.1 (dimensionless)can be calculated for  1H-benzimidazole (i.e benzimidazol) using an regression derived equation. This BCF suggests the potential of target chemical (Cas no.51 -17 -2) for bioconcentration in aquatic organisms is low.

Description of key information

Based on an experimental log/octanol water partition coefficient of 1.32, a bioconcentration factor of 2.1 dimensionless can be calculated for  1H-benzimidazole (i.e benzimidazol) using an regression derived equation. This BCF suggests the potential of target chemical (CAS no.51 -17 -2) for bioconcentration in aquatic organisms is low.

Additional information

Four different studies which includes one experimental from authoritative database and remaining three from validated predicted databases for bioaccumulation endpoint of target chemical 1H-benzimidazole (CAS no. 51-17-2) are summarized as followed:

First study from experimental result from authoritative database (HSDB by US EPA; 2017) suggest the bio concentration factor (BCF) for 1H-benzimidazole is 2.1 (dimensionless) based on an experimental log/octanol water partition coefficient of 1.32 and using an regression derived equation. This BCF indicate the potential of target chemical (CAS no.51 -17 -2) for bioconcentration in aquatic organisms is low.

Above experimental result is supported by prediction report by BCFBAF (v3.00) model which indicate the estimated bio concentration factor (BCF) for 1H-benzimidazole is 3.451 L/kg wet-wt which does not exceed the bioconcentration threshold of 2000.Thus it is concluded that 1H-benzimidazole is not expected to bio accumulate in the food chain.

Another predicted database, PBT profiler propose the Bioaccumulation factor (BCF) was predicted to be 3.4 L/kg wet-wt at 25 deg.C for test chemical 1H-benzimidazole.

Further, Scifinder database indicates the Bioconcentration factor (BCF) for target chemical 1H-benzimidazole to be 1.0 at pH 1-4; 1.29 at pH 5; 4.35 at pH 6; 5.72 at pH 7; 5.91 at pH 8;5.93 at pH 9 and 5.92 at pH 10 and temperature 25 deg.C. Based on the BCF concentration at all pH range i.e 1 -10 it is concluded that the test chemical 1H-benzimidazole is non bioaccumulative in nature as it does not exceed the BCF criteria of 2000.

All predicted and experimental values for bioaccumulation is in the range of 1.0 -5.93 (L/kg or dimensionless) conclude the target chemical 1H-benzimidazole (CAS no. 51-17-2) is non bioaccumulative in aquatic environment as it does not exceed the BCF criteria of 2000.
