Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Short-term EC50 or LC50 for soil macroorganisms:
1 000 mg/kg soil dw

Additional information

The LC50 of the test substance to the earthwormEisenia foetidawas determined in an acute toxicity study performed according to OECD guideline 207 (RCC, 1994). In this study, approximately ten earthworms were exposed to concentrations of 0.1, 1, 10, 100, and 1000 mg test substance per kg of artificial soil d.w. After 7 and 14 days, mortality, body weight, and behavioural abnormalties were recorded. During the entire test no individual of E. foetida died. In all test concentrations and controls, the body weights of the worms decreased slightly within the test period. This decrease in body weight was not statistically significant and not dose related, and likely due to starvation. No behavioural abnormalities could be observed. Based on these findings, the LC50 value was determined to be >1000 mg/kg d.w.
